Business Project Management — Expansions, Systems and Restructurings Delivered

Transformations fail in execution, not in planning.

Owners rarely lack ideas. They lack someone whose only job is to get the project finished while everyone else runs the business. We act as your project manager or project management office — with a charter, a plan, weekly governance and a single accountable person until handover.

Projects we run

The business projects we are usually asked to manage

Business expansion

New branches, outlets, showrooms or a new emirate — site, fit-out, licences, hiring, stock and opening, to a date and a budget.

ERP, POS and CRM implementation

An independent project manager on the client side, holding the vendor to scope, timeline and acceptance criteria.

Restructuring and shared services

Merging entities, centralising finance or HR, or changing the operating model without losing control in the middle.

New product or market entry

From feasibility to launch: supply, pricing, channels and the first ninety days of trading.

Compliance projects

Corporate tax readiness, e-invoicing readiness, audit remediation — deadlines that do not move.

Office, warehouse or factory moves

Sequenced so the business does not stop trading.

Why projects slip

Why business projects run late in owner-managed companies

Nobody's day job

The project is added to a manager who already has a full-time role. It gets the hours that are left, which is none.

Scope agreed in conversation

Without a written charter, every stakeholder remembers a different project.

Decisions wait for the owner

A two-day decision takes three weeks because it was never put in front of the right person at the right time.

Suppliers manage themselves

Contractors and vendors report their own progress, and bad news arrives late.

Cost is tracked after the fact

Overruns are discovered when the invoices arrive, not when the commitment is made.

No definition of done

The branch opens or the system goes live, but the snag list and the training never close.

Method

How we keep a project under control

ToolWhat it does
Project charterObjective, scope, budget, timeline, sponsor and what success looks like — signed before work begins.
Plan and milestonesA realistic schedule with dependencies and named owners; nothing owned by “the team”.
Budget trackerCommitted, invoiced and forecast cost against budget, updated weekly.
Risk and issue logWhat could go wrong, who is watching it, and what has already gone wrong and is being fixed.
Weekly governanceA thirty-minute meeting: progress against plan, decisions needed, actions with dates.
Sponsor reportOne page for the owner — green, amber or red on time, cost and scope, with the reasons.
Handover and closeDocumentation, training, open items and a short lessons-learned review.

PMO

A project management office for groups

When several projects run at once — openings, a system change, a compliance deadline — the owner needs one view across all of them. A light PMO provides common templates, a portfolio dashboard, resource and cash planning across projects, and a monthly portfolio review. It can be run by us, or set up and handed to your team.

Choosing a system as part of the project? See ERP, POS and CRM adoption. Deciding whether the project should happen at all? Start with a feasibility study.

Systems projects

An ERP implementation project manager on your side

The vendor's project manager works for the vendor. On an ERP, POS or CRM implementation we represent the client: we own the requirements and the plan, chair the weekly meeting with the vendor, control change requests, supervise data migration and user testing, and sign off each milestone against the acceptance criteria before payment is released. The result is a go-live date that holds and a system people use.

Common questions

Questions owners ask

Why would a business hire an external project manager?
Because internal managers already have full-time jobs. An external project manager brings method and time, is independent of departmental politics, and can hold suppliers and internal teams to the plan on the owner's behalf.
Do you manage construction or fit-out works?
We manage the business project around them — budget, programme, approvals, procurement coordination and opening readiness — alongside your fit-out contractor and consultant. Our background includes certifying contractor progress claims, so cost control on works is familiar ground.
Can you act as project manager for our ERP implementation?
Yes. We represent the client side: requirements, vendor management, data migration oversight, testing, training and go-live. We are independent of every vendor.
How are project management fees charged?
A fixed monthly fee for the expected duration of the project, based on its size and how many days a week are needed. Extensions caused by scope changes are agreed before they are incurred.
What size of project do you take on?
From a single branch opening to multi-entity restructurings. If a project needs full-time site presence for many months we will say so and help you hire for it.
Where do you work?
On-site in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman; elsewhere in the UAE by arrangement.
